Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) is hiring an Air Logistics Ramp Associate to help ensure timely delivery of Express packages by moving cargo from aircraft to warehouse and on to trucks at our airport location. It is a cross-dock operation with exposure to aircraft environments and non-temperature controlled spaces.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading cargo, reading destination sheets, and coordinating with drivers and cockpit during push-back, with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
• 1 year forklift experience is preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED or international equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Transport, load and unload air freight containers from aircraft within confined areas.
• Push, pull and position loaded air freight containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs.
• Removal of tie-downs and other gear when loading and unloading.
• Read off-load sheets to determine destination of Express packages.
• Operate ramp equipment with weights 3,000 to 80,000 lbs in congested areas around aircraft and vehicles.
• Assist by guiding the driver during push-back and communicate with cockpit as needed.
