Job summary

The JOY FM is seeking a Flag Technician to repair air jet weave machinery, diagnose faults, and correct mechanical failures. You will identify cloth and machine defects, and conduct a light inspection on each assigned machine per shift.

The role follows a rotating 8-hour shift schedule across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. This entry-level to mid-level position emphasizes reading, writing, math, and strong mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in relief weaving prior to starting classroom tech training.
• Ability to read and write and follow directions.
• Basic Math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
• Good communication skills.
• Strong discipline.
• Good organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to machine quality and performance flags identified by weavers and/or plant supervision.
• Troubleshoot weave machine issues.
• Identify and get fabric and machine defects corrected.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Obtain/complete maintenance work orders.
• Perform all other duties deemed necessary as required.
