Job summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining large industrial textile processing equipment, as well as facility maintenance. Tasks include start-up and shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, maintaining and operating boilers, welding and cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and other systems. This position reports to the Chief Engineer.

Schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays, 6:00 am-2:30 pm. Hourly base pay: $36.00-$38.00.

Qualifications

Two years maintenance engineering experience with machinery, electricity, hydraulics, and boiler applications.
Proficient in the proper use of power and hand tools.
Strong electrical troubleshooting for 3 phase 230 volt systems.
PLC programming experience.
Good verbal and written communication in English.
Team player with initiative and pride in work.

Responsibilities

Install, repair and perform preventative maintenance on industrial processing equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical issues.
Respond to daily maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
Read blueprints and manufacturer manuals to determine correct operation.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow instructions.
Adhere to safety rules and company procedures.
