As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.2nd and 3rd shift do receive a shift premium of $1.00. We offer a $50 attendance bonus for every two weeks in which you miss no time, not including our shutdown periods. This bonus would provide an extra $0.62 to your hourly rate.**Job Summary:** Operate multiple machines to produce textured and fluffed yarn.**Essential Functions:** Perform the following duties in accordance with ISO 9001 work instructions and standards.* Operate multiple air jet texturing machines to meet production quotas.* Order yarn materials as needed for yarn attendants.* Put tubes of raw yarn on creel for Air Jet texturing machine to draw.* Doffs off tubes from machine and puts tubes of yarn in appropriate boxes.* Complete production paperwork accurately.* Advise yarn technician of yarn quality.* Perform other duties as assigned.* Maintain personal attendance practices to meet established company goals.* Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.**Safety:*** Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.* Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.* Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.* Follow the 5 S Standards as described in the associate handbook.* Hearing protection in high noise areas as needed to do the job safely.## Qualifications**Qualifications:*** Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.* Meet all pre-employment requirements.* Ability to discern colors and shades.High School Diploma preferred
