Job summary

SBT Global, Inc. in Plano, TX is seeking a Logistics Procurement Specialist (contractor) to manage the end-to-end air freight procurement lifecycle.

You will source airlines and forwarders, handle RFQs, negotiate favorable rates, and secure strategic capacity for the Pricing team. This 1-year contract requires strong Excel proficiency, RFQ/RFP experience, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Customer Service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or Finance.
• 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, 3PL, or logistics sourcing/operations with focus on Air Freight.
• Proven experience managing RFQ/RFP processes and performing financial data analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for business needs.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end procurement lifecycle for air freight, sourcing forwarders and airlines, RFQ management, and negotiating rates.
• Negotiate transportation rates, capacity, payment terms, and contracts with airlines and service providers.
• Develop procurement strategies to improve competitiveness and achieve cost savings.
• Monitor contract compliance and renewal opportunities; coordinate with Legal for agreements.
• Support pricing proposals and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Ops, Finance, and Legal.
