Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Warehouse Associate to load and unload Express packages and sort, scan, and move small packages within our busy Windsor Locks facility. You will help build/break down containers for outbound and inbound flights and operate air freight handling equipment.

Qualifications

• One-year experience in similar role preferred but not required.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and understand the English language.
• Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload air freight packages from containers to trucks.
• Sort, scan and move small packages within the warehouse.
• Build up / breakdown package containers for outbound/inbound flights.
• Remove tie-downs and other gear during loading/unloading.
• Operate air freight handling equipment such as pallet jacks and gaylords.
• Weigh, label, or break down gaylords or air freight containers.
• Check containers for piece count, weight, dimensions and documents per safety guidelines.
• Report on time as scheduled, including overtime, varying shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Complete required computer-based and on-the-job trainings.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and performance standards.
• Work outdoors with exposure to weather, engine noise, and fumes.
