Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services in Texas is hiring an Air Logistics Warehouse Associate. You will load and unload express packages from air freight containers, move them to trucks, and support cross-dock operations at our airport location. This role is part of a cross-dock team with occasional overtime during peak cycles.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, ability to read and understand English, and a valid driver’s license. Weekend and holiday shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand the English language.
• One-year experience in similar role preferred, not required.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Peak Season may require longer hours.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload Express packages from air freight containers to and from semi-trucks in a widely dispersed area.
• Sorting, scanning and movement of small packages within the warehouse.
• Buildup / Breakdown package containers ready for outbound/inbound flights.
• Removal of tie-downs and other gear when loading and unloading.
• Operate air freight handling equipment such as pallet jacks and gaylords (push carts).
• Weighing, labeling, or make/break-down of gaylords or air freight containers.
• Check air express containers for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents as appropriate per air safety and security guidelines.
• Report to position on time, as scheduled, including mandatory overtime requirements, varying shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Successfully complete required computer based and on the job trainings .
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance standards .
• Perform all functions in accordance with safety procedures and policies.
• Work outdoors with exposure to extreme weather/elements, engine noise, and noxious fumes.
