Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks an Air Defense Battle Management System Operator to defend skies by operating, integrating, and maintaining Sentinel Radar systems across varied environments. You will provide warning, detection, and protection while coordinating with allied units.

You will learn to operate the Sentinel Radar, establish connectivity in LAN/WAN networks, and evaluate intelligence data for engagement operations. Training includes 10 weeks Basic Training and 20 weeks AIT.

Qualifications

• Requires enlistment in Army National Guard.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Basic training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) required.
• Ability to operate and maintain Sentinel Radar and associated shelters.
• Ability to establish interoperability with allied and Joint units.

Responsibilities

• Move, position, operate, and maintain Sentinel Radar systems.
• Establish network interoperability with Allied, Joint, and Air Defense units.
• Collect and process battlefield information from multiple sensors and systems.
• Provide airspace awareness and deconflict to maintain air superiority.
• Evaluate intelligence data and communicate targets for engagement.
• Conduct engagement operations to counter rocket, artillery, and mortar threats.
