Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues involving chillers, boilers, pumps, air handlers, VAV systems, BAS.
  • Install, replace, and repair HVAC equipment, motors, controls, thermostats, and related components.
  • Monitor and adjust building environmental systems to maintain occupant comfort and efficiency.
  • Respond to service requests and emergency maintenance calls in a timely manner.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Assist with campus energy conservation initiatives and sustainability programs.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and university policies.
  • Collaborate with Facilities Services personnel, contractors, and campus stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Job Description

The University is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC TechnicianII to join our Facilities Services team. This mid-level position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration(HVAC/R) systems across academic buildings, laboratories, residencehalls, athletic facilities, and administrative spaces.

Job Duties

  • Assist with campus energy conservation initiatives and sustainability programs.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with applicable safety regulations, codes, and University policies.
