The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified HVAC technician to perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Ideal candidates should demonstrate relevant skills and experience in troubleshooting and ensuring efficient operation of heating and cooling equipment.
The purpose of this position is to perform a wide range of work involving installing and diagnosing the cause of faulty refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, and making repairs on large systems that provide various air conditioning functions such as heating, cooling, humidifying, dehumidifying, cleaning, filtering, and circulating.
Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal operation of equipment.

Experience: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must demonstrate sufficient training or experience to perform the duties of this position. Evidence should be detailed on your resume and demonstrate your knowledge, skills, and abilities. Applicants will be rated according to the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards.
