Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Managing Consultant in Air and Climate within the Environment & Health Division in the United States. Lead a team on air quality projects, oversee permitting, modeling, and regulatory strategy for diverse clients, and work across multi-state regulatory environments.

You will oversee complex projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients and regulators to deliver compliant air quality solutions.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in engineering or atmospheric science with quantitative coursework.
• 9+ years of air quality consulting experience including permitting and modeling.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and proposals.
• Strong client relationship management and business development.
• Proficiency in air dispersion modeling tools (e.g., AERMOD) and regulations.
• Advanced Excel; programming experience in Python or R.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex air quality projects and supervise staff.
• Review and interpret federal/state air regulations for compliance.
• Maintain client relationships and manage deliverables and budgets.
• Prepare air permit applications and air quality reports.
• Estimate emissions and perform engineering evaluations.
