Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Managing Consultant in Air and Climate to lead technical solutions for air quality projects in St. Louis, MO. The role includes permitting, compliance, emissions estimation, and modeling, with mentorship of junior staff and direct client exposure.

Qualified candidates have 9+ years in air quality consulting, strong project management, and proficiency with AERMOD, Excel, Python, and regulatory interpretation. A PE is a plus, and US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, Atmospheric Science, or related physical science; PE a plus.
• 9+ years of air quality consulting experience including permitting, compliance, and modeling.
• Proven project management experience with scope, schedule, budget, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with client relationship management and business development.
• Strong understanding of air pollution control technologies and dispersion modeling tools (AERMOD).
• Experience interpreting federal/state air regulations (Clean Air Act programs).
• Advanced Excel skills; programming experience (Python, R); databases.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead on complex air quality projects and supervise consultant staff.
• Interpret local, state, and federal regulations focusing on air compliance.
• Maintain client relationships and manage deliverables to high quality standards.
• Prepare air quality permit applications and environmental reports across multiple industries.
• Estimate emissions and conduct engineering evaluations of air sources.
