Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dependable Cargo Handler to perform ground operations at Cedar Rapids. You will load/unload cargo on aircraft, transfer freight on the ramp, and handle freight with care while adhering to security procedures.

You will read off-load sheets, operate powered equipment, and work in a high-noise environment with rotating shifts, including weekends. HS Diploma or GED is required; valid driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to communicate with others.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Able to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Able to work in high-noise environments.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs. and move 3200 lb containers.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo on/off aircraft.
• Transfer cargo on the ramp as required.
• Receive, deliver, and handle freight and company material.
• Complete forms and messages for assigned tasks.
• Assist in loading, unloading, and racking drums.
• Perform routine cleaning of work areas and ramps.
• Assist in monitoring facility security.
• Comply with site security procedures and report breaches.
