Job description

• Load and unload cargo, mail, express, freight, and company material on and off aircraft


• Transfer cargo on the ramp as required


• Receive, deliver, and physically handle freight and company material at export-designated locations


• Transport furnishings and supplies to and from aircraft


• Assist with loading, unloading, and racking filled and empty drums


• Perform routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities, with or without powered equipment


• Assist in monitoring facility security


• Comply with WFS site security procedures for warehouse and other operations


• Report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, and non-compliance with the site security plan


• Load, unload, push, pull, and position containers weighing up to 70 lbs. in confined aircraft cargo areas


• Transport cargo to and from aircraft by driving vehicles with attached carts through congested areas


• Read off-load sheets to determine cargo destinations

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent


• Must be at least 18 years of age


• Valid California driver's license


• Ability to successfully communicate with others


• Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English


• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off


• Ability to work in a high-noise-level environment


• Ability to pull, push, and lift bags weighing up to 70 lbs. onto or from a conveyor belt


• Ability to work in variable weather and environmental conditions, including jet engine fumes, vehicle emissions, dust, and jet engine noise
