You’ll be counted on as a trusted co-pilot today—and prepared as a future Captain tomorrow.

What you’ll do

  • Verify required documents, navigational data, manuals, and equipment are on board and current.
  • Participate in and/or facilitate cargo loading and offloading; supervise securing of cargo, nets, and the crew barrier.
  • Ensure carry-on items are properly stowed; brief couriers and jump-seaters when applicable.
  • Adhere to flight- and duty-time limitations; report fit for duty and in proper uniform.
  • Actively assist crewmembers and seek Captain-level instruction to accelerate upgrade readiness.
Safety and security first
  • Serve in TSA-mandated ground-security capacities, including Ground Security Coordinator duties.
  • Ensure aircraft, cargo, and passenger security requirements are consistently met.
  • Accept, inspect, load, and secure air cargo per applicable domestic and international regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in USA Jet’s Safety Programs and Safety Management System (SMS); promptly report safety concerns and follow all relevant OSHA standards.
What you’ll bring
  • Appropriate pilot licenses and certificates for a Part 121 First Officer; completion of all training, checking, and qualification requirements as defined in USA Jet’s approved/accepted manuals.
  • Fluent reading, writing, and speaking of English.
  • Working knowledge of the USA Jet General Operations Manual, FARs, OpSpecs, the Aircraft Flight Manual, and all role-relevant instructions (or the ability to quickly attain it).
