Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to help scale our US Business and drive Beeontrade's global growth. Join a team of entrepreneurial Account Executives who form Beeontrade's growth engine. In this role, you will have the authority to make decisions and develop your career.

As an Air and Ocean Export Manager, your goal is to grow by closing new deals and diversifying your client portfolio. You will be given autonomy, responsibility, guidance, and coaching to achieve this. Your daily activities may include leading discovery calls, strategizing onboarding with the sales team, or sharing best practices in peer learning sessions. Responsibilities include:

  • Owning your export files (Air & Ocean) from booking to delivery, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Managing and mentoring two operations executives, ensuring accurate documentation, bookings, tracking, and customer updates.
  • Coordinating with carriers, warehouses, customs brokers, and vendors for efficient and compliant shipments.
  • Communicating with clients about shipment status, exceptions, and issues to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Preparing and reviewing documentation such as HBLs, invoices, AES filings, and ensuring compliance and deadlines are met.
  • Leading weekly team check-ins to improve processes and KPIs.
  • Ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and implementing improvements.
  • Acting as escalation point for customer or shipment issues, collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Supporting rate procurement and pricing strategies with the commercial team.
  • Onboarding new operations staff and documenting procedures.

Additional duties:

  • Consulting with clients to understand their needs.
  • Presenting Beeontrade’s products and services, emphasizing technology value.
  • Generating a pipeline through cold calling, networking, and creative methods.
  • Acquiring new clients and supporting their growth via remote and in-person meetings.
  • Maintaining structured pricing and bid processes in a competitive environment.
  • Navigating a dynamic sales environment with clients from traditional commodity markets.
  • Partnering with Global Operations to drive client success and revenue.
  • Contributing to building a replicable sales and operations playbook for expansion.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in ocean and air export operations, managing full-cycle files independently.
  • Leadership experience, supervising or training junior staff.
  • Strong knowledge of export regulations, documentation, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
  • Proficiency with freight forwarding systems (CargoWise or similar) and digital tools.
  • Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • High accountability and ownership mentality.
  • Experience working with SME and enterprise clients, ensuring SLAs and service quality.
