Job summary

Apple is seeking a highly experienced AIML - Machine Learning Engineer to join the Information Intelligence team in Cupertino. You will conduct research, build and refine domain-specific LLMs for tasks like summarization, QA, and search relevance, and translate product requirements into actionable modeling tasks.

Strong background in DL/LLMs and Python-based frameworks is required. Role focuses on large-scale model training, evaluation, and deployment, with opportunities to influence research

Qualifications

• 10 years of work experience in machine learning, deep learning or related field.
• Experience in modeling user behavior including personalization, online learning and recommendation systems.
• Experience with ML or LLM model development for NLP tasks and RAG including prompt engineering, data collection and generation, model fine-tuning and evaluation.
• Experience with Python and at least one of the deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development on state-of-the-art deep learning and large language models for various tasks and applications in Apple's AI-powered products.
• Develop, fine-tune, and evaluate domain-specific Large Language Models for NLP tasks including summarization, question answering, search relevance/ranking, entity linking, and query understanding.
• Translate product requirements into modeling and engineering tasks for scalable solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in deep learning and large language models.
