Description

- Research and applied work in LLM reasoning, planning, tool use, agentic LLMs, and related topics.

- Work on the next generation of LLM and VLM architectures and reasoning models.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ph.D. in CS or related fields.
• Quality publications in LLM Reasoning and Planning (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, etc).
• Expert in PyTorch/Python programming.
• Experience with large-scale model training/tuning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in tool use, agentic LLMs, RAG.
• Experience with processing multiple modalities (i.e., audio/vision) with Foundational Models.
• Experience with efficient inference, HW/SW co-design, performance optimization.
• Experience with Jax programming.
• Understanding ML accelerations and architectures.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
