Primary Purpose Assist Special Education teacher in implementing student IEP’s. Work under general supervision of principal and immediate direction of certified teacher.
Education/Certification: Associate’s degree or two years of study (60 college hours) at an institute of higher learning or Paraprofessional Institute Certificate
Valid Texas educational aide certificate
Some experience working with children
None
Patient lift, ramp, copier, computer, audiovisual equipment, and specialized equipment or materials necessary to support student IEP’s.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling; regular heavy lifting of students. Biological exposure to bacteria and communicable diseases.
