Job summary

WesleyLife in Washington, IA is seeking a Certified Aide in Training (Hospitality Assistant) to start a pathway into CNA training. This role is part-time, on-site at Halcyon House, and offers hands-on experience in resident care while you prepare for certification.

You will engage with residents, assist with daily tasks, and collaborate with the nursing team in a warm, respectful environment. CNA licensing support is provided, with training and deadlines to obtain licensure.

Qualifications

• Strong respect for seniors’ independence and good communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain privacy.
• Flexible and willing to attend training and meetings.
• Willingness to retain your CNA License within 90 days of hire.
• Commitment to obtaining your CNA license within 90 days (paid by WesleyLife!)

Responsibilities

• Engage with residents through light personal care and social activities.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and light grooming tasks.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure residents feel respected and cared for.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families.
• Maintain a safety-focused workplace with training on infection control and emergencies
