This position is for approximately 29 hours per week.
Position Overview
The Aide – Behavior supports students with behavioral, social-emotional, and self-regulation needs by assisting with the implementation of behavior intervention plans, monitoring student behavior, supporting instructional activities, and helping maintain a safe and positive learning environment under the supervision of certified staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans and strategies developed by instructional and support teams.
- Provide individual and small group support to reinforce positive behavioral, social, and emotional skills.
- Monitor and document student behavior, progress, and responses to interventions.
- Assist students in developing self-regulation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Support classroom instruction by assisting students in accessing curriculum and completing assigned tasks.
- Monitor students during classroom, school, and community-based activities to maintain safety and support behavioral goals.
- Assist with crisis prevention and de-escalation strategies as directed by trained staff.
- Maintain records and documentation related to student behavior and interventions.
- Communicate observations and student progress to teachers and support personnel.
- Attend meetings and training sessions related to behavioral support and student services.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibility

Work Environment
Work is performed primarily in classroom and school settings and may require responding to behavioral incidents, implementing de-escalation strategies, and supporting student safety.
Experience
Job-related experience is desired.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
