Job summary

ICF seeks an American Indian and Alaska Native Region (AIAN) Grantee Specialist to provide high-quality training and technical assistance that improves AIAN and Early Head Start programs to meet national Head Start Performance Standards. The role involves extensive travel up to 50% across the United States and is home-based in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Program Design and Management, Business Management, Accounting, Public or Non-Profit Administration, or Project Management with fiscal emphases.
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in providing technical assistance on governance, fiscal management, and administrative issues within Head Start.
• Experience delivering training at State, Regional, or National Meetings and providing TA to organizations.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass an MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Act as a change agent in fiscal, administrative and management areas to improve operations.
• Collaborate with organizational leaders to plan and implement changes addressing deficiencies and non-compliance.
• Plan interventions for grantees with deficiencies or non-compliance issues.
• Coordinate with Federal Regional staff to develop grantee intervention strategies and outcomes.
• Coordinate with other Grantee Specialists and Early Childhood Education staff for holistic improvements.
• Review and interpret data to identify trends and set change objectives with grantees.
• Analyze grantee structures and propose redesigns to strengthen operations.
• Recommend improvements including procedures, manuals, and audit resolution processes.
