Jobot is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its legal team in New York on an as-needed basis. The role focuses on sophisticated transactional and contract matters within a global architecture and design-focused firm, collaborating with leadership and project teams.

The ideal candidate will have a J.D., active NY bar admission, and about 7+ years of experience in construction or commercial contracts, with strong AIA contract drafting and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active New York bar admission are required.
• Approximately 7+ years of relevant experience in construction, architecture, design, or commercial contracts preferred.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating AIA contracts is required.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements with emphasis on AIA contracts and design/construction matters.
• Advising internal stakeholders on contract risk, liability, indemnity, and insurance issues.
• Supporting project teams throughout the lifecycle of commercial architecture engagements.
