Job summary

The IDB Group in Washington, DC is offering a paid 2027 Winter Internship Program for active graduate students to learn about development work and corporate management of the Bank, through on-the-job learning as an Intern Consultant.

During the two-month program (January 16–March 15, 2027), you will support AI-enabled initiatives for Enterprise Risk Management, design AI tools for process reviews, and contribute to annual reporting and risk assessments.

Qualifications

Active graduate student enrolled in a master’s or Ph.D. program with graduation after internship period.
Fluency in English; working knowledge of one other Bank language (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) is a plus.
Familiarity with AI tools, Microsoft 365 suite, data analysis, process mapping, and risk/control frameworks.

Responsibilities

Support exploration and application of AI-enabled solutions to enhance Enterprise Risk Management activities.
Design and use AI tools to review process maps and flag gaps or inconsistencies.
Leverage AI to assist with risk and control inventory reviews with organized process information.
Prepare testing files and document observations for annual testing using AI tools.
Assist with Annual Report and management materials by compiling updates and creating visual exhibits.
Prepare a roadmap with recommendations on leveraging AI across RMG/ERM processes.
