Job summary

Tomorrow.io is seeking a Meteorological Data Scientist with strong operational forecasting experience to leverage satellite data, NWP, and AI weather models. You will develop visualizations and prototypes, validate AI models, and collaborate with Weather Science, Applications, Bespoke Solutions, and Space and Sensor teams to strengthen data use cases for customers.

You will work hands-on with state-of-the-art AI weather models, engage with cloud compute, and support customer-facing data

Qualifications

• Degree in Atmospheric Science or Meteorology.
• 3+ years in operational meteorology or customer-facing work with weather data.
• Curious mindset to understand data behavior and outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills across teams.
• Hands-on with scientific code (Python) and data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop data visualizations, analyses, and prototypes using meteorological data.
• Validate AI weather models and products.
• Collaborate with Weather Science, Weather Applications, Bespoke Solutions, and Space and Sensor teams to improve models and data use cases.
• Leverage AI tools and model data to create new product prototypes for scientists and end users.
• Partner with Marketing, Accounts, and Customer Teams to craft customer-focused use cases and value propositions.
