Job summary

Diamondback E&P LLC seeks an AI Lead - Value and Economics to establish the enterprise framework for evaluating, measuring, and maximizing the business value of AI investments. You will partner with AI leaders, Finance, and business stakeholders to develop credible valuation approaches and credible investment recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• 8+ years in financial analysis, management consulting, or related advisory functions.
• Experience valuing tech, analytics, automation, or business transformation initiatives.
• Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise AI value measurement framework, including valuation methods and reporting standards.
• Establish business-case standards; partner with Product Owners to develop, validate, and challenge financial models.
• Create fit-for-purpose valuation approaches (NPV, IRR, scenario analysis, productivity/value measures).
• Standardize value measurement across operational efficiency, revenue optimization, safety, and risk reduction.
• Evaluate projected and realized value throughout the AI product lifecycle and advise on continued investments.
• Define attribution methods to link outcomes to AI interventions and integrate into prioritization and funding decisions.
• Develop executive dashboards and board-level reporting on portfolio performance, assumptions, and risks.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights for executives and stakeholders.
• Analyze gaps between forecasted and realized value to improve future investment decisions.
• Influence portfolio decisions with data-driven recommendations and constructive challenge.
