Alignerr is seeking a Security Operations Analyst (AI Training) to join our remote hourly-contract team. Bring hands-on SOC experience to shape how AI detects, triages, and responds to threats across real-world incidents.

In this role you will analyze incident scenarios, classify severity, review detection logic, and validate AI outputs. Requirements include 2+ years in SOC and clear written communication; familiarity with SIEM and alert workflows is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in SOC, incident response, or security operations.
• Familiar with SIEM platforms, alert triage processes, and investigation workflows.
• Able to distinguish true security signals from false positives and background noise.
• Detail-oriented with clear written communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze realistic incident and alert scenarios to identify what's happening and why it matters.
• Classify severity levels, determine root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions.
• Review and evaluate detection logic, triage workflows, and investigation procedures.
• Validate AI-generated security outputs to ensure they reflect how analysts actually work in practice.
• Provide structured, expert feedback that helps AI reason through threats the way a seasoned analyst would.
