Job summary

SAIC is seeking an AI Training and Curriculum Specialist to join the INDOPACOM team at Camp Smith, HI. You will design and deliver foundational to advanced AI curricula and lead hands‑on training sessions for military personnel across the command.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience and an active Secret clearance with potential TS/SCI clearance. You will mentor internal AI trainers and collaborate with stakeholders on AI adoption and training needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of work experience; 4 additional years of experience allowed in lieu of degree.
• Experience developing and delivering training materials, including presentations, workshops, hands‑on exercises, user guides, quick reference materials, and technical demonstrations.
• Ability to convey complex technical and AI-related concepts to non‑technical stakeholders clearly and engagingly.
• Hands‑on experience using generative AI tools and platforms such as Maven Smart System, ChatGPT, Grok, and Gemini, including strong prompt engineering and evaluating outputs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI curriculum at foundational, intermediate, and advanced levels.
• Deliver instructor‑led AI training, workshops, demonstrations, and hands‑on exercises across the command.
• Support development and mentorship of internal AI trainers to expand training capacity.
• Coordinate course scheduling, registration, participant communications, attendance tracking, evaluations, and completion records.
• Collaborate with command stakeholders to identify training needs, mission‑relevant use cases, and opportunities to improve AI adoption.
• Stay updated on emerging AI tools, capabilities, risks, policies, and responsible‑use practices.
• Develop and deliver presentations, reports, and briefings on AI training activities and program outcomes.
• Support industry engagements, workshops, command‑wide events, training plans, and other program requirements.

• Experience developing and delivering training materials, including designing and creating presentations, workshops, hands‑on exercises, user guides, quick reference materials, and technical demonstrations.
• The ability to convey complex technical and AI‑related concepts (such as prompt engineering, generative AI capabilities, limitations, and best practices) in a clear, simple, and engaging manner to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Hands‑on experience using generative AI tools and platforms such as Maven Smart System, ChatGPT, Grok, and Gemini, including strong prompt engineering, evaluating AI outputs, and refining results for quality and accuracy.

Required Clearance:

• Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working in a government or defense environment. Combatant Command or Four‑Star Service component experience would be ideal.
• Knowledge of data security, responsible AI, cybersecurity, and ethical considerations in AI applications.
