OUR COMPANY

Iron EagleX (IEX), a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), delivers agile IT and Intelligence solutions. Combining small-team flexibility with global scale, IEX leverages emerging technologies to provide innovative, user-focused solutions that empower organizations and end users to operate smarter, faster, and more securely in dynamic environments.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Iron EagleX is seeking a Senior Principal AI Trainer to lead AI education, adoption, and enablement efforts across the organization. This role will focus on empowering analysts, operational professionals, and other end users who interact with artificial intelligence through software applications and analytical platforms.

In this role, you will develop, refine, and deliver practical training on modern AI capabilities, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Computer Vision, and Agentic AI applications. You will translate complex AI concepts into approachable, mission‑relevant instruction that helps users understand when, where, and how to apply these capabilities effectively.

A key component of this role will be developing realistic vignettes including hands‑on scenarios that demonstrate how AI can be incorporated into analytical and operational workflows. You will also travel to supported customer locations to provide in‑person instruction, workshops, and demonstrations designed to build user proficiency and adoption of AI‑enabled tools.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Senior Principal AI Trainer, your work will directly bridge the gap between advanced AI capabilities and day‑to‑day mission execution. By creating practical, scenario‑based training and delivering engaging instruction, you will help analysts and other end users turn emerging technologies into useful, understandable tools. Your training will help users apply capabilities such as LLMs, computer vision, and agentic workflows to analyze information, accelerate routine tasks, improve decision‑making, and identify new ways to solve operational challenges. Through direct engagement with users and close collaboration with technical teams, you will play an important role in building an AI‑literate workforce capable of adopting new capabilities safely, responsibly, and effectively.

JOB DUTIES
  • Develop, update, and continuously improve AI training curriculum focused on how analysts and end users interact with modern AI‑enabled applications, including LLMs, prompt‑based workflows, computer vision tools, and Agentic AI capabilities.
  • Create, refine, and integrate realistic, mission‑relevant vignettes and hands‑on exercises that demonstrate how AI capabilities can be incorporated into analytical, operational, and decision‑making workflows.
  • Deliver engaging instructor‑led training, workshops, demonstrations, and practical exercises for audiences with varying levels of technical experience.
  • Travel to supported customer locations to provide in‑person classroom instruction, workshops, and hands‑on training.
  • Travel is expected approximately three times per quarter, with trips generally lasting no more than one week.
  • Develop educational programs, self‑paced learning resources, quick‑reference guides, job aids, and other materials that make AI capabilities accessible and practical for non‑technical and analytically focused users.
  • Gather feedback from students, stakeholders, and leadership to identify knowledge gaps, improve course content, and adapt instructional methods to evolving user needs and AI capabilities.
  • Work closely with AI and analytic teams to understand new capabilities, application updates, and user workflows and ensure training materials remain aligned with deployed AI solutions.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering instructor‑led training, technical education, workshops, or user enablement programs for technical and non‑technical audiences.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, approachable instruction for users with varying levels of technical experience.
  • Experience developing training materials such as presentations, user guides, practical exercises, job aids, reference materials, and scenario‑based learning content.
  • Demonstrated ability to create realistic use cases and operational scenarios that show users how technology can be incorporated into existing workflows.
  • Ability to engage with users, gather feedback, identify training needs, and continuously improve educational content and delivery methods.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage curriculum updates, training schedules, instructional materials, and multiple stakeholder requirements.
