Job summary

The Consensus is building AI agent infrastructure and a secure runtime for enterprise AI actions. You will contribute to backend services, security, and tools to enable developers to build and run production-grade AI integrations.

This is an in-person role based in San Francisco, requiring strong backend skills in Go, Python, or TypeScript and a proven track record shipping. You'll work across the stack, designing scalable APIs, deploying infrastructure, and shaping the team's roadmap while

Qualifications

7+ years of software engineering experience with backend focus.
5+ years of backend development in Python/Go/TypeScript and API/Web frameworks.
2+ years of infrastructure and deployment (AWS/GCP, Terraform, Helm).
Strong experience building production APIs and writing clean, well-documented code.
User-centered approach to designing developer-centric tools.

Responsibilities

Build the infrastructure to manage the backplane for all future AI tools.
Design, build, test, and deploy high-performance, secure, production-grade software.
Develop SDKs and frameworks for easy tool development by others.
Help set industry standards for tool calling and authorization.
Create integrations with major platforms and LLMs (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, OpenAI, Anthropic).
Shape the roadmap for the team.
Build leverage to accelerate project delivery.
Share work with customers and community to grow the brand.
