Job summary

Amazon’s AWS Specialist Technology Team seeks a Software Development Manager to lead the Specialist AI Tooling engineering group. You’ll own four interconnected products powering the intelligence layer of AWS’s specialist ecosystem, including AI learning and intelligent routing agents, with a focus on production GenAI features at scale.

You will mentor a high-performing team of engineers, shape the technical roadmap, and collaborate with Product, Science, and field leadership to turn ambiguous

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 6+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team building AI-native products powering AWS's specialist ecosystem.
• Architect and ship production agentic AI systems using LLMs, knowledge graphs, RAG, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Build, manage, and develop a high-performing SDE team with focus on ownership, experimentation, and operational excellence.
• Drive evolution of intelligent routing algorithms matching annual specialist requests to verified domain experts.
