Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation seeks an AI Threat Analyst III to support Insider Risk and AI-driven security initiatives. You will surface insider-threat trends, enable proactive defenses, and collaborate with stakeholders across cyber tools and data science.

A TS clearance and strong analytics are required to drive data strategy and senior stakeholder engagement. The role emphasizes analyzing large datasets, building ML models, and mentoring junior analysts while delivering actionable security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years in data science or related role.
• Higher level degree may substitute for experience.
• In absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years related experience may be required.
• Experience with cyber security tools such as SIEM/UEBA.
• Proficiency in Python or R.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau/Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of ML techniques and Large Language Models.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Security team and stakeholders to foster a proactive insider threat program.
• Drive development and deployment of data science, insider threat and AI security solutions.
• Shape data strategy with leadership to define project goals.
• Implement AI solutions for offense and defense security operations.
• Ensure data quality, security, and governance.
• Mentor junior and mid-level threat analysts.
• Lead creation of detailed reports and visualizations communicating insights.
• Implement advanced statistical models and ML algorithms.
• Continuously enhance program processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Stay updated on industry threat trends and tech advancements.
