Job summary

In-Q-Tel is seeking a Technology Architect to collaborate with government partners, applying AI/ML mastery to identify, evaluate, and invest in startup solutions that meet urgent mission needs and long-term readiness.

You will lead technical diligence, develop architectures for AI systems, negotiate Statements of Work with startups, and guide secure, scalable deployments across multiple DoD and IC programs.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required due to contractual reasons.
• Top-secret clearance preferred; eligibility for access to classified information.
• Advanced degree in science or engineering (or equivalent experience) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years professional experience overseeing a technology development effort.
• Demonstrated expertise in artificial intelligence or machine learning.
• Experience negotiating milestone-based Statements of Work contracts.

Responsibilities

• Identifies new AI/ML technology areas for investment and provides technical diligence on related investments.
• Develop and negotiate Statements of Work contracts between IQT and startups.
• Provides thought leadership in AI/ML subject areas.
• Leverages technical/market experience to oversee development of engagement strategies across programs.
• Provide technical oversight on work programs; identify and communicate paths for resolution of issues.
