Job summary

ActAI is seeking a Technical Product Manager for AI Systems to work at the intersection of user needs, model capability, and engineering constraints. You will collaborate with ML and engineering teams to define system behavior, measurement, and continuous improvement.

This deeply technical, hands-on role requires understanding the system, challenging technical decisions, and owning product quality end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Strong computer science fundamentals and system design skills.
• Solid understanding of modern ML and how AI systems behave in production.
• Comfortable reading technical designs, architectures, and engaging with engineers.
• Strong intuition for model limitations, evaluation, and failure modes.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end requirements for AI capabilities and user experience.
• Translate model capabilities and constraints into clear product and system decisions.
• Balance quality, latency, cost, reliability, safety, and UX.
• Collaborate with ML, backend, and client engineers on design, evaluation, and iteration.
• Define evaluation frameworks across offline metrics, online experiments, and human feedback.
• Establish clear quality bars and feedback loops for AI-powered experiences.
• Drive execution through specifications, prioritization, and technical judgment.
• Identify failure modes and ensure AI systems recover gracefully.
• Own product quality end-to-end, reliability, usefulness, and user trust.
