Profiles in Irvine, CA is hiring a Software Engineer - AI Systems for a full-time contract-to-hire onsite three days a week to design and deploy AI-driven services.

You will build tool-use loops, integrate Anthropic API/SDK, and develop RESTful APIs with Python and a React/TypeScript frontend, while owning CI/CD and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent
• 2+ years professional software engineering experience
• 2+ years Python with Flask or Django
• Experience with Anthropic SDK/API and Claude Console
• Experience building agentic loops and multi-turn orchestration
• DevOps exposure (Docker, CI/CD, AWS/Azure)
• Familiarity with testing libraries (pytest, jest)
• Strong communication skills for explaining AI behavior to stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI-driven services and agentic pipelines
• Integrate Anthropic API/SDK (Claude models, tool use, prompts)
• Develop RESTful APIs in Python and React/TypeScript front ends
• Own DevOps for AI services — CI/CD, Docker, cloud deployment (AWS/Azure)
• Design automated test frameworks and maintain architecture docs
