Job summary

Postman, Inc. in San Francisco is seeking an experienced AI Systems Reliability Engineer to define, build and maintain the infrastructure that ensures reliability, scalability, and performance of Postman’s AI-powered API and agentic systems in production.

You will focus on monitoring, availability, incident response, and automation to support AI services trusted by developers globally.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in AI reliability engineering, SRE or DevOps for distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms, monitoring tools, and incident-response automation.
• Ability to collaborate across teams to improve AI system reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage AI-driven service reliability metrics and SLOs.
• Implement observability and real-time monitoring for AI platforms.
• Design automated failover, recovery, and incident response strategies.
• Optimize GPU/accelerator usage for cost-effective AI ops.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to align reliability goals.
• Build internal tooling to improve AI system stability.
• Improve deployment, monitoring, and incident management practices.
