Job summary

Carlyle in Washington, DC seeks an Associate Vice President to lead AI solutions and finance strategy within the Finance Process & Operations team. You will set the AI vision, prioritize high-impact opportunities, and orchestrate cross-functional delivery with engineering and finance partners.

This role demands executive-level communication and a hands-on, build-and-ship mindset in a fast-paced private equity environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in a technical or quantitative field preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant experience across finance/accounting operations with a track record applying AI/automation to business problems.
• Experience setting AI strategy, prioritizing use cases, and translating ambiguous problems into shipped solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define and own AI vision, strategy, and roadmap for FPO finance functions.
• Act as trusted AI advisor to finance leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate end-to-end AI solution delivery with engineering, data, and controls.
• Lead a small agile team focusing on high-impact finance challenges.
• Establish governance, risk mitigation, and responsible-AI practices for finance AI solutions.
• Lead and develop the team, communicating strategy and progress to executives.
