Resumo da oferta

Sauce is a premier restaurant technology platform that helps businesses grow with our Commission-Free Delivery & Pickup structure. We are seeking an AI-focused engineer to shape how AI appears across the Sauce platform, from delivery optimization to operator tools.

This is a high-ownership, founding-level role, offering remote work from Canada or Brazil as a Full-time Contractor. You'll design, build, and ship end-to-end AI features, own the full stack, and lead with pragmatic build-vs-buy

Qualificações

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years building and shipping production full-stack applications.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and SDKs such as OpenAI/Anthropic or open models.

Responsabilidades

• Take ambiguous product ideas from zero to shipped—design, build, deploy, and iterate largely on your own.
• Build AI-native features (agents, RAG, tool-use, structured outputs, evals) as core product.
• Own the full stack: frontend, backend, data, model integration, and the glue in between.
• Stand up feedback loops—evals, telemetry, fast iteration—making AI products reliable in production.
• Make build-vs-buy calls and keep the team at the frontier of model capabilities.
• Partner with product and operations to turn real restaurant problems into shipped solutions.
• Raise the bar on velocity and product taste for the team.
