Overview
The AI Solutions Leader is responsible for driving measurable business value through AI initiatives across the organization. This role partners with business leaders to identify high-value problems, shape feasible AI approaches, and lead delivery with a focus on iterative, outcome-driven solutions. Key responsibilities include leading AI initiatives from concept to deployment, ensuring alignment with business priorities, and maintaining a pragmatic approach to applied AI. This position is critical to advancing the organization’s AI strategy and fostering scalable, high-impact solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead AI initiatives from ideation to measurable outcomes, ensuring business value is realized.
- Partner with stakeholders to clarify decisions, workflows, and operational constraints.
- Translate ambiguous problems into actionable AI initiatives that are practical and scalable.
- Define, maintain, and evolve the Applied AI roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact.
- Evaluate and select AI approaches, including:
- AI agents and copilots
- LLM-driven automation and reasoning
- Computer vision applications
- Traditional machine learning and data-driven techniques
- Balance short-term wins with long-term capability building, adapting strategies as business needs, data readiness, and technology evolve.
- Monitor solution adoption, performance, and health while ensuring governance, security, and responsible AI practices are maintained.
- Lead and mentor a small team of AI developers, data engineers, or analysts (1–5 direct reports).
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in product management, facilitation, or leadership roles.
- Proven experience in AI-driven customer service solutions and applied AI initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based AI and analytics platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, or equivalent).
Special Requirements
- Familiarity with AI governance, data privacy, security practices, and responsible AI principles.
- Experience evaluating AI technologies for business value, feasibility, and scalability.
- Ability to guide technical teams without necessarily writing production code.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of applied AI techniques, including LLM-based automation, AI agents, traditional ML, and computer vision fundamentals.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to influence executives and cross-functional teams.
- Business acumen to translate organizational objectives into actionable AI initiatives.
- Competency with roadmap planning, prioritization, and measuring initiative success.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance technical feasibility and business value.
- Proficiency in Microsoft analytics and AI ecosystem tools or similar platforms.
