Job summary

Vernovis is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Solutions Lead in Cincinnati, OH, with a hybrid work structure. You will guide AI platform selection, design scalable AI architectures, and drive deployment across ERP/CRM/PLM ecosystems.

Lead governance, partnerships, and governance while mentoring IT teams and shaping the company’s AI strategy. You will interact with executives and sponsors to deliver AI initiatives, measure ROI, and communicate progress across the organization.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in AI and ML including LLMs and predictive modeling.
• Hands-on experience with AI platforms like OpenAI, Claude, LangChain, or HuggingFace.
• Proficiency in prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic AI development.
• Advanced programming skills in Python; experience with JavaScript and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Proven ability to architect enterprise AI solutions integrating ERP, CRM, PLM, and other systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience with data engineering, ETL, data quality, and handling structured/unstructured data.
• Knowledge of MLOps including deployment, monitoring, versioning, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong project management; lead AI/ML initiatives from concept to production.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strategic thinking; evaluate build vs buy and data-driven decision making.
• Experience with Agile development methods and modern software practices.
• Understanding of AI ethics and data privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation, selection, and implementation of AI platforms, tools, and vendor solutions aligned with a buy-over-build strategy.
• Design end-to-end AI solution architectures that integrate with ERP/CRM/PLM and other business systems.
• Develop and deploy AI solutions including LLM apps, agentic AI workflows, predictive models, and ML systems.
• Build proofs-of-concept and MVPs for priority AI initiatives.
• Establish AI governance with accountability, fairness, bias detection, security, privacy, and transparency.
• Partner with sponsors across Software, Controls, Manufacturing Operations, Sales, Engineering, and Customer Experience.
• Configure and customize AI platforms via prompt engineering, API integrations, agent development, and low-code/no-code solutions.
• Implement data pipelines, model training workflows, and monitoring to ensure production reliability.
• Define KPIs and monitor AI initiative performance, ROI and business impact.
• Conduct vendor evaluations, manage RFPs, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor relationships.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, and coding standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT teams on AI/ML concepts and approaches.
• Stay current on AI/ML trends and assess applicability to Vernovis use cases.
• Collaborate with CIO and IT leadership to refine Vernovis's AI strategy.
• Lead workshops, demonstrations, and training to drive AI adoption and change management.
• Prepare executive reports and presentations on AI progress, ROI, and strategic recommendations.
