Job summary

State Street seeks an AI-Enabled Workflow Governance AI Solution Engineer to bridge AI research and production software. You will design, deploy AI-driven workflows that audit and govern solution design risk, and ensure auditable decisions in a regulatory environment.

A strong software foundation and ML/NLP/LLMs expertise are essential. You will collaborate across teams to integrate AI frameworks (MCP, RAG) and to optimize performance, speed, and cost while maintaining architectural guardrails

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS or closely related technical field with AI-focused solutions.
• 3-5 years AI development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Python.
• Hands-on with ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, plus RAG/LLM tooling.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, scalable code to integrate AI/ML models into workflow automation.
• Collaborate with AI engineering center of excellence to deliver AI-driven workflows.
• Integrate AI capabilities with Appian-based deterministic workflow orchestration.
• Conduct testing, performance tuning, and cost-effective optimization of models.
• Partner with product managers and engineering teams to meet business needs.
