Firefly Aerospace is hiring an AI Solutions Software Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered tools for manufacturing and operations. You will work in an Agile environment to operationalize AI systems, develop MLOps pipelines, and collaborate with multiple teams across the organization.

Required is 2–5 years in software development with strong Python backend skills, API experience, SQL, and AI/ML expertise. On-site role based in Cedar Park, Texas, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of software development experience or 4+ years substituted.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or related field.
• Solid AI/ML fundamentals and design patterns.
• Strong backend skills in Python (FastAPI/Flask/Django).
• Proven API, HTTP, and web socket experience.
• SQL proficiency to extract and manipulate data.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship AI-powered tools and apps for manufacturing and operations.
• Operationalize AI systems for quality control and production automation.
• Develop robust MLOps and model-evaluation pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements.
• Document specifications and technical processes.
