Job summary

84.51° is a Kroger-backed retail data science and media company delivering AI-enabled products across the Kroger Precision Marketing portfolio. The Solutions Architect will shape architecture, validate ideas via prototypes, and guide teams from concept to production.

You’ll partner with data scientists, engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to define practical patterns, APIs, and scalable solutions that power data, APIs, and AI-enabled applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 7+ years in software/data/platform engineering or related roles.
• 3+ years in technical leadership, architecture, or design.
• Experience designing distributed systems, APIs, data platforms, or cloud apps.
• Cloud experience with Azure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solution architectures across data platforms, APIs, AI enabled apps, internal tools, and client-facing capabilities.
• Translate business needs into technical designs, roadmaps, and architecture diagrams.
• Build prototypes and reference implementations to validate feasibility and speed up delivery.
• Define API strategies and integration patterns for secure, scalable access.
