Job summary

C5i is seeking a senior GenAI/LLM architect to design enterprise-grade AI solutions, agents, and agentic workflows. You will work with LangChain, LangGraph, and Databricks AI to implement robust, observable AI systems at scale.

You will collaborate with client teams, lead production deployments, and sometimes be on-site at client offices in Long Island City, NY 1–2 days a week.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall experience in enterprise AI and software development.
• Hands-on GenAI/LLM development with AI agents and multi-agent workflows.
• Experience with unstructured data processing and document workflows.
• Strong Python, API integration, and frameworks like LangChain/LangGraph.

Responsibilities

• Designs enterprise-grade GenAI solutions and AI agents for client deployments.
• Architects solutions using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search and tooling calls.
• Ensures AI quality, safety, observability, and governance across projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. GenAI & Agentic Solution Architecture

• These tasks reflect the core responsibility of the role in designing enterprise-grade AI solutions.
• Designs and builds GenAI applications, AI agents, agentic workflows, and multi-agent solutions.
• Architects solutions using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, prompt engineering, and tool/function calling.
• Leverages Databricks AI capabilities, including AI Functions, AI Search/Vector Search, Model Serving, and MLflow.
• These tasks support the processing of documents and unstructured content.
• Designs pipelines for PDF/document extraction, OCR, image processing, classification, and summarization.
• Develops in Python and integrates AI solutions with enterprise systems through APIs, using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent.

3. AI Quality, Safety & Observability

• These tasks ensure AI solutions are accurate, safe, and reliable in production.
• Defines AI evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and hallucination testing.
• Designs human-in-the-loop workflows and implements AI observability.

4. Partner Review & Technical Governance

• These tasks ensure partner and vendor AI work meets enterprise standards.
• Reviews partner AI solution designs, agent workflows, and code quality.
• Assesses and guides performance and cost optimization of AI solutions.

5. Production Delivery & Collaboration

• These tasks reflect delivery and collaboration with client and internal teams.
• Leads production deployment of enterprise AI applications using AI-assisted/spec-driven development practices.
• Works with client stakeholders, including on-site at the client office in Long Island City, NY 1–2 days a week.

Requirements

• 8+ years of overall experience, including 2+ years of hands-on GenAI/LLM development
• Strong experience building GenAI applications, AI agents, agentic workflows and multi-agent solutions
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, prompt engineering and tool/function calling
• Experience with unstructured data processing, including PDF/document extraction, OCR, image processing, classification and summarization
• Strong Python development skills, API integration and experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent
• Familiarity with Databricks AI capabilities, including AI Functions, AI Search/Vector Search, Model Serving and MLflow
• Experience with AI evaluation frameworks, guardrails, hallucination testing, human-in-the-loop workflows and AI observability
• Ability to review partner AI solution designs, agent workflows, code quality, performance and cost optimization
• Experience with AI-assisted/spec-driven development and production deployment of enterprise AI applications
