The Weather Company is seeking a Senior Manager, AI Software Engineering to lead a high-performance team responsible for cloud-native AI architectures. You will balance strategic management with hands-on development, guiding the full software lifecycle from requirements to deployment on AWS.

As a player-coach, you will mentor engineers, manage resources, ensure quality, and collaborate with product and business stakeholders to advance enterprise AI adoption.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with 3+ years in leadership.
• Proficiency in full-stack development, NodeJS, TypeScript, REST, JSON, and AI tools (Claude, Gemini, OpenAI).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code, DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers focused on AI execution and cloud-native architectures.
• Provide hands-on guidance as a player/coach, contributing ~20% with coding and design work.
• Oversee the software lifecycle from requirements through deployment on AWS, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to define requirements and align objectives.
