Job summary

Inversion in Playa Vista, CA, is seeking an AI & Internal Tools Software Engineering Intern to help build internal apps, automation platforms, and AI-enabled tools for engineering and business teams. You will own a major project, collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to deliver usable software across the stack.

You will work on front-end and back-end components, APIs, data infrastructure, and AI/LLM integrations, turning ideas into real products for aerospace applications.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a degree in CS or a related field.
• Proven software development experience through projects or internships.
• Experience with TS/JS/Python/Go/Rust and web frameworks, APIs, or databases.
• Strong fundamentals in debugging, testing, data structures, and design.
• Ability to learn new technologies and work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own a major software project from concept through delivery.
• Build full-stack applications with UI, backend, APIs, and databases.
• Develop AI-enabled tools and automation to improve workflows.
• Integrate LLMs, agents, and AI tech into practical tools.
• Collaborate with engineers and operations to improve processes.
• Gather user feedback and ship polished, production-quality tools.
