Bering Straits Professional Services, LLC is seeking an AI Software Engineer to design and implement AI-powered capabilities across LogIT applications in Anchorage, AK. The role focuses on building conversational interfaces, RAG pipelines, and secure AI solutions.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of software engineering experience, plus knowledge of LLM APIs and modern languages. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain clearance are required. This is an on-site position with potential travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5-10 years of equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with modern programming languages (.NET, Python, Java)
• Experience with LLM APIs (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Google Gemini)
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and implement AI-powered capabilities with LLMs across LogIT applications.
• Integrate conversational interfaces, copilots, and intelligent assistants into logistics systems.
• Build retrieval-augmented generation pipelines using enterprise data sources, documents, and knowledge bases.
• Implement prompt engineering, guardrails, and orchestration workflows for accurate and secure outputs.
• Integrate AI capabilities via APIs, microservices, and middleware.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, system engineers, and stakeholders to support AI use cases.
• Attend daily team meetings and use JIRA, Confluence for workload planning.
• Support monitoring, evaluation, and observability of LLM performance.
• Adhere to security, data governance, and Responsible AI standards.
• Contribute to reusable AI components and shared engineering practices.
