Job summary

Broadcom is seeking an experienced AI Software Engineer to integrate commercial AI tools into existing design workflows in our San Jose office. You will monitor AI systems, embed AI into daily operations, and coordinate multiple AI agents to optimize performance and QoR across a global R&D team.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, deployment of AI tools, and user-facing AI enhancements while collaborating with external vendors. On-site work is required five days a week.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in AI/ML system development and deployment.
• Ability to create pragmatic solutions that enable predictable schedules.
• Strong self-management and organizational skills across a multi-time zone team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing VLSI design systems to identify AI integration opportunities.
• Develop and deploy commercial AI tools to enhance productivity.
• Design and implement enhancements based on user feedback without major rebuilds.
• Evaluate and compare AI solutions to select best-fit technologies for design challenges.
• Select, clean, and preprocess data for AI tools to ensure output quality.
• Create AI agents to improve QoR and deploy them to reduce downtime and errors.
