Role Overview

We are seeking a hands‑on Forward Deployed AI Engineer to work directly with business stakeholders, product teams, and technology partners to identify operational challenges and rapidly deliver AI-enabled solutions.

This is an embedded consulting role focused on solving real business problems. Successful candidates will own the complete delivery lifecycle, from business discovery and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization.

The ideal candidate combines strong engineering fundamentals with excellent business communication skills and practical experience leveraging modern AI development tools, agentic workflows, orchestration frameworks, and AI-assisted software development to build internal applications, automations, and intelligent workflow solutions.

This role is well suited for engineers, technical product professionals, solution engineers, or technical business analysts who enjoy working directly with business users while rapidly delivering production‑ready AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnership

• Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, workflow inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into practical AI-enabled solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with business users through an embedded consulting model.
• Continuously gather feedback and iterate solutions based on evolving business needs.

Solution Delivery

• Own end-to-end delivery of AI-enabled solutions from discovery and design through development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Design and build internal applications, workflow tools, automations, and AI-powered business solutions.
• Deliver MVPs quickly while evolving solutions into scalable production applications.
• Coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives while balancing priorities across business and technology teams.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), production readiness activities, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
• Leverage modern AI development platforms and AI-assisted coding tools including Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar technologies.
• Design AI-powered workflows utilizing LLMs, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, workflow orchestration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and automation techniques.
• Evaluate and select appropriate AI models and solution architectures based on business requirements.
• Integrate AI solutions with APIs, enterprise applications, databases, and cloud services.
• Identify opportunities where AI orchestration, intelligent automation, and AI-generated code can significantly improve operational efficiency.
• Apply modern software engineering best practices including version control, CI/CD, testing, documentation, and DevOps principles.
• Deliver secure, maintainable, and production-ready solutions appropriate for regulated financial environments.
• Balance speed of delivery with solution quality and long-term maintainability.
• Clearly communicate technical concepts, solution trade-offs, project status, and delivery risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively across engineering, product, legal, compliance, operations, and business teams.
• Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a strong bias toward execution.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, AI Engineering, Solution Engineering, Technical Product Development, Technical Business Analysis, or related technology roles.
• Demonstrated experience delivering production software from concept through deployment.
• Hands‑on experience building applications using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of modern AI development techniques including prompt engineering, LLM integration, workflow orchestration, and AI-enabled automation.
• Experience building internal business applications, workflow solutions, APIs, or enterprise software.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of modern software engineering practices including Git, CI/CD, testing, and DevOps.
• Experience integrating applications with APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business problems into practical technical solutions.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments with minimal direction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, AI Engineer, Full Stack Engineer, Solution Engineer, Product Engineer, or Technical Business Analyst.
• Experience designing AI agent workflows, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and LLM orchestration.
• Experience with AI frameworks, orchestration platforms, or agentic AI development.
• Experience delivering AI solutions within Financial Services or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or comparable AI platforms.
• Experience building AI-powered workflow automation, dashboards, knowledge management systems, or internal productivity tools.
• Experience delivering MVPs that successfully transitioned into production applications.
• Consulting experience working directly with executive stakeholders and business users.

Base Salary

The base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $180,000.
