Job summary

The Foxconn-Pce-Technology BIOS Engineer role in Santa Clara, CA focuses on low-level firmware initialization for AI server racks. You will own BIOS/UEFI bring-up, ensure boot stability, and calibrate hardware components such as GPUs, memory, PCIe switches, and BMC interfaces on the factory floor.

We seek candidates with 1+ year in BIOS/UEFI development, strong embedded skills, and a track record in system bring-up and security provisioning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, CS, or EE with embedded systems emphasis.
1+ years BIOS/UEFI firmware development and debugging experience.
1+ years high-speed silicon and fabric link training troubleshooting.
1+ years server hardware bring-up and POST diagnostics.
Platform security and RoT provisioning experience.

Responsibilities

Perform BIOS/firmware bring-up on new server platforms and troubleshoot POST and hardware issues.
Configure PCIe Gen 6/7 interfaces and high-speed fabric connectivity; troubleshoot link failures.
Customize BIOS configurations and platform profiles to meet hyperscale customer requirements.
Validate BIOS with BMC/IPMI and other hardware management interfaces.
Develop scripts for BIOS hotfixes, firmware updates, and ECOs; ensure traceability.
